Network Cost Analyst (Dallas, TX)
General Summary:
This position is responsible for auditing non-standard contracted carrier-to-carrier invoices from line cost vendors. Key duties include identifying, summarizing, and presenting disputed charges with vendors and negotiating dispute settlements. May assist lead auditors or managers in researching the most complex disputes. Reports status of disputes and summary activity to management. May provide advice and counsel to less experienced auditors.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Audits a variety of carrier invoices from assigned accounts.
- Compares billed rates to negotiated contract rates and identifies areas of dispute.
- Contacts carriers to surface disputes and provides an initial point of contact for resolving disputes.
- Provides a summary of activity and resulting "wins" to Line Cost Management.
- Works with other departments to gather needed data, as necessary.
Job Requirements/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or experience in lieu of degree.
- 3-5 years of related work experience.
- Knowledgeable of telecommunication processes and carrier negotiations.
- Good knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
