Adtran Engineer (Dallas, TX)
Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for configuring, deploying, supporting, and tracking Adtran 9xx series Integrated Access Devices (IADs) at customer premises. This position has a direct impact on Excel's primary SIP Trunking product which is the primary focus of the customer. There are two Adtran positions available.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Configure DIDs to FSX ports and/or PRI ports on the devices.
- Configure Fax support
- Configure basic static routing and OSPF routing
- Provide customer support over the phone
- Work with Adtran support when complex problems or requirements arise
- Troubleshooting of moderate to complex problems on the Adtran
- Configure Acme Packet 9200 and 4250
- Perform and interpret Ethereal/Wireshark traces during turn-up and troubleshooting and be able to diagnose connectivity problems
- Configure QoS on the Adtran 9xx platform as well as the Cisco 72xx platform
- Document and communicate all processes and procedures needed to turn-up SIP Trunking customers
- Requires on-call rotation
